The charming quartet behind the Eco Hotel Saltos consists of Grandma Traudl, daughter Hedwig and two granddaughters Nadja and Claudia. Hedwig and her daughters have led the hotel into a new era. The new building was only opened in 2019 and the convincing philosophy does justice to every nature lover. The concept of sustainability is present in all details from the “à la carte” breakfast to the interior and a 5% discount for guests arriving by train.

THE NECTAR

The first steps lead you past the hotel bar into the lounge area at over 1,100m above sea level. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the spruce forest to the Dolomites. So take your time for your Italian espresso and a glass of crémant! As you walk up to the room, you will notice the wonderful watercolor drawings that Nadja painted for each room. In general, the great passion is noticeable in many individual details, such as the skillful Wabi Sabi flower decoration or the curation of coffee table books and magazines. The architecture creates wonderful shadow plays in the morning when the sun is over the Dolomites. As a lover of aesthetics, you will find a lot of pleasure in the rooms, which are kept in a harmonious minimalist style with earthy muted colors and natural materials and exude a special warmth.

THE PULSE

You should start the day with a jump into the amazing infinity pool when the sun is over the Dolomites and you can enjoy the peace and freedom in nature at over 1,100m. Then it's on to breakfast before you can devote yourself to the daytime activities. Whether hiking in summer (track start right in front of the hotel!) or skiing in winter, you should definitely not miss the spa treatments and the spacious sauna area "in the middle of the forest". A special highlight is the forest bathing: Hedwig performs it in a very personal and intimate way with her guests. Since she is a trained yoga teacher, she attaches particular importance to this. In the evening, Grandma Traudl cooks fresh pasta with mussels for us and we can enjoy real South Tyrolean traditional food - still today we have the pasta in pleasant memories and therefore we can also praise the food at Saltos, which is served in the neighboring "mother hotel", which Grandma Traudl founded years ago and is a strong contrast with its traditional South Tyrolean style architecture and interior.
