THE NECTAR

The complex architecture allows all suites a fantastic view of the Alster and at the same time you can cast the signature view down to the lounge in the atrium, in the middle of which the shiny chandelier hangs. In the room, royal-blue velvet fabrics, golden accents, white marble and luxurious, cream-colored upholstered furniture await us. This luxurious elegance can be found in different variants: golden sculptures, black-reflective surfaces with the golden sheen of the chandeliers, an impressive library with design classics, encyclopedia series and large-format black-and-white photographs and this complex architecture is present everywhere Surprising shapes again and again and astonishing us. Here we feel reminded of the Louis Vuitton Fondation in Paris, where hardly a line is straight! What is a costly nightmare for the engineer, however, is heaven for the esthete. Ornate architecture that you can call your luxurious home for a few nights!

THE PULSE

The absolute highlight is the roof terrace with the panorama bar and the unique SPA area, whose pools allow a magnificent and unique view over the Alster. You have a view of the Outer Alster with the small sailing boats all the way to Jungfernstieg and the city center. The pure idyll of the Hanseatic city spreads out in front of you and you can enjoy the heavenly tranquility and the lush green Alsterwiesen, which start right in front of the Fontenay.

The second highlight in Fontenay is certainly the culinary art. The in-house gourmet restaurant Lakeside received its first Michelin star shortly after it opened. After the head chef went on parental leave, the Michelin star is also goodbye, but the grandiose cuisine has remained under his successor Stefan Wilke. Whether at breakfast or lunch in the Parkview Restaurant, owner Klaus-Michael Kühne lives up to his reputation for the highest culinary demands.

What should not be missing on a visit to Fontenay is of course a rowing boat tour over the Alster or a bike tour around it.
