In 1991 the art collector and entrepreneur Otto Wiesenthal took over what was then the Viennese guesthouse with 26 rooms in a venerable patrician house and created an elegant and cosmopolitan scene hotel for discerning individualists with now 62 spacious rooms and suites. What was first: the art that needed an exhibition space or the hotel that should be breathed into the soul with art? Art, architects and hotels are now fused together. Daughter Saskia Wiesenthal even offers exclusive "museum" house tours in which she tells the most important works and stories of the house. The soul of the house can not only be felt here, but also visible in every corner from the stairwell to the coat hooks in the room.

THE NECTAR

Even the entrance of the classic Viennese Wilhelminian style house will surprise you: the red carpet leads past colorful, flowery wallpaper, the reception is hidden behind futuristic-looking golden cubic panels. The comfortably elegant salon, on the other hand, exudes classic Viennese charm "at its best" and here you feel as if you were in your own living room with breakfast or an afternoon glass of Crémant. You will find yourself wondering about the unknown guests in "your" living room! The guests are just as colorful as the house: some Americans, some business travelers, couples and a few families, cultural travelers as well as hip, trendy tourists.

What you will encounter everywhere are the exceptionally nice and helpful staff. This is no coincidence, because the Wiesenthals' motto was: the employee comes first. Because in addition to the premises, it is the people who can make a guest enjoy a wonderful stay.

THE PULSE

You leave the hotel and stand in the center of the urban, creative Spittelberg district, just a 5-minute walk from the Museum Quarter. Alternatively, the Altstadt Vienna offers many very personal favorite tips for cuisine and culture, some of which can also be found in our own travel guide. Either way, we recommend renting one of the chic hotel bicycles and off you go: whether it's classic Vienna in the direction of the Ringstrasse or the trendy new district, the hotel offers you everything. In the afternoon, it's best to put your feet up and enjoy your room. Afterwards you treat yourself to a drink in Lisa's salon and get to know a couple of exciting fellow guests before you - to honor Vienna - throw yourself in your most beautiful outfit and go to the city for the evening program.
